WHAT IS STUDENTS IN THE WORD?

We are a non-profit ministry based in Georgetown County, South Carolina. Through Released-Time Bible Education, our program offers local students a legal way to participate in Christian Bible study and discipleship classes that meet during the public school day.

Students in the Word is an affiliate of School Ministries, a national association of Released-Time Bible Education Programs.

HOW DO OUR CLASSES WORK?

Students in the Word classes are offered as electives to public school students attending our program schools. Students choosing to take one of our classes meet daily for one of their block periods during their school day. We provide and pay for transportation away from the schools to a nearby church location where our classes meet. Students receive grades for our elective classes, and high school students receive a transcript credit toward graduation. Our paid staff teach the classes, using professionally-published, Gospel-focused, non-denominational Bible-based curriculums.

WHO DO WE SERVE?
