Church Partners

Since the beginning of Students in the Word in 2009, partnership with local churches has been a foundation upon which this program is built. Students in the Word was originally launched by a group of community members representing several churches out of a desire to better serve and disciple local public school students. As a non-denominational Christian ministry, Students in the Word continues this working partnership with local churches, seeking to complement their efforts to serve local families and communities by referring students to programming at those churches. In exchange, our Church Partners support the mission and ministry of Students in the Word by:

  • Providing classroom space for our elective classes
  • Contributing financial support for the operations of the ministry
  • Representing Church Partners through service on the SITW Board
  • Volunteering in our classes as small group leaders
  • Serving on the SITW Prayer Team
